Introduction of Tokyo8 and franchise model (Malawi’s case)

Introduction of Tokyo8 and franchise model (Malawi’s case)
The establishment of Tokyo8 production units in Malawi—using locally available materials—demonstrates the viability of a business model that is not only easily replicable but also maintains the high quality of the fertilizer. Importantly, it’s a model designed to ensure profitability for farmers.

In just six months, the Tokyo8 message reached thousands. Many farmers made orders and purchases, while countless others received samples. Today, four Tokyo8 units are actively running and producing the Biofertilizer, with the capacity to supply to over 12,000 hectares of farmland every month.
What began as an idea has become a tangible reality—helping farmers cut farming costs by up to 50% and increase yields by more than 50%. We’ve heard powerful stories from farmers who once struggled with barren fields, and thanks to Tokyo8, they’re now harvesting crops again.
During the challenging 2024–2025 farming season—marked by erratic rainfall—many farmers across Malawi faced poor harvests. Yet, Tokyo8 farmers returned with not only harvests but renewed hope and confidence.

TESTIMONIES AND USERS’ SPOTLIGHT

Due to the erratic rainfall, he was sure that he would not have any real cobs under the husks as cob development requires enough water and Nitrogen. When the time for harvest came, he was very shocked to see maize cobs bigger than he expected, thanks to Tokyo8.

Though initially skeptical of liquid fertilizer technologies, the farm manager’s confidence in Tokyo8 has grown significantly within just the first few weeks of application. Now, as Natasha begins her harvest, early results look strong—and she’s anticipating a bumper yield
